Both development and production are carried out at Countermine’s premises in Södertälje.
The tool meets the new international IMAS standard 9.50 (International Mine Action Standards)
Nearby is a test area used to carry out tests on ORACLE machines and to verify technical advances. Experiences gained, primarily from Croatia, have resulted in the completely new ORACLE II. The system is based on the same principles as its forerunner, with improved performance.
A special, recently developed fine tool enables more effective mechanical inspection of cleared land. The tool meets the new international IMAS standard 9.50 (International Mine Action Standards), which allows machines which achieve excellent demining results to work without the need for follow-up inspection using an alternative method, as has previously been required.
Our assessment is that the ORACLE system is one of the few, if the not the only system in the world to fulfil the criteria. Demining assignments can therefore be extended to include mechanical follow-up inspection, which is an advantage for the principal in terms of both time and costs.
